LEGAL EMPLOYMENT AND EXPERIENCE:  Partner (1982-present) and Associate (1972-1982) with Webb, Carlock, Copeland, Semler & Stair, LLP and predecessor firm, with focus of practice on: (1) representation of design professionals, general contractors, subcontractors, and owners in the drafting and negotiation of design/construction contracts, the resolution of construction phase issues, and the litigation, arbitration, and mediation of all types of disputes; and (2) representation of attorneys in legal malpractice claims, involving underlying issues of personal injury, wrongful death, medical malpractice, worker's compensation, real estate, corporate matters, wills and estates, domestic relations, construction and lien law, bankruptcy, labor and employment, malicious prosecution, criminal defense, tax and accounting, securities fraud, anti-trust violations, franchise registration, federal trade law, and first and third party insurance coverage claims.  Practice has also involved litigation, on behalf of plaintiffs and defendants, in numerous other types of tort actions and commercial disputes.
Associate with Jones & Barnwell (1976-1979), representing plaintiffs in various types of personal injury, wrongful death, professional liability ad other tort and commercial claims.
Lectured extensively at seminars (50+) for professional groups and the construction industry on various issues involving the avoidance and resolution of disputes/claims, including the use of mediation, arbitration and other forms of ADR.
